The phrase "I Love You" is the most misused phrases. It can send misleading messages and result in broken hearts some can be ultimately broken forever. Telling a person you love them can draw you two closer together intamately affectionaly and spiritally...however if some one says "I Love you" and doesn't mean it and their lover thinks they do it will cause imeasurable pain.
When it comes to dating and marrige don't be so quick into anything. take it step by step. figure out if you truly love this person and if you do....let your actions speak louder then your words do. people who love each other let their feelings show through their actions be it buying flowers or just calling during lunch to say hi and that you love them.
Let love find you instead of trying to find it and hurting someone or getting hurt in the process.

i agree with that. "i love you" is thrown around way to much, and people say it just because they can most of the time, and it means absolutely nothing to them. however, there are different kinds of love. the love that was mentioned between a couple, the love between friends (thoes who you confide in, nothing more), and the love between you and your family. you can tell your best friend, male or female, that you love them, but that doesn't mean that you want to jump into bed with them, same with your family, and yes, males and females can be just friends and nothing more.
I disagree in certain areas. In general, yes, but there is two types. One for friends and one for boyfriends and girlfriends. I hate it when one makes a big deal when some kid says to another "I love you" and they mean it as friends these teens and adults starts fussing. Another time I remember this kid in seventh grade I believe says to the teacher, "I love you." and the teacher litterally threw a fit and was about to turn over the tables. I was just so frustrated, I jus wanted to tell him to Relax a bit, really. I forgot he was in his early thirties at that point, figuratively. However, I stayed silent as I didn't want any trouble and that was probably the best choice. Seriously, stop taking it that way. Let it just be a word with two meanings, I love you is only a heavier version of I like you to some. Even teens use it amongst friends, and so does adults. Just leave people alone. Have none here read the first amendment in the bill of rights? It's called freedom of speach. Goddamnyou liberals, just fucking allow them to say whatever they like.
i agree with most of the posts here. love is the most sensative word. it can bring so many feelings, hope, joy, love, excitement,... or another way round, hurt, angry, fear, hatred, anzierty, etc etc.
i suppose the phrace "i love you" gotta depends on how a person say it, and who they say it. there's no problem at all for parents to say "i love you" to their kids, or vise verser, but i would think, for kids to say that to each other, or teenagers, that should involve some sort of education for the meaning behind it. if not, it can causes problems and missunderstandings, who sometime can take forever to resolved.
